The concept of muteme.point.0 compilation could be divided into three parts with similar value.

he first one is the sound part, which has been taking shape in the course of a year. The process included selecting tracks from many hours of music material produced by more than 20 different projects from numerous countries. The selection process was quite hard, because we had to take into consideration the coherence of the album concept (the compilation aims not only to be a plain sampler but above all a fluent compact album), the music quality of individual tracks and in some way also personal relationships. One of the most important points was the cooperation with the outstanding Japanese artists AOKI takamasa and Yoshihiro Hanno, whose tracks have somehow defined the course of the compilation and also the sound and musical standard. At the end, seven tracks were chosen, which in our humble opinion represent the contemporary approach to electronic music and global music progress. We are happy that two of the selected projects (Michal Marianek and MMtm) are from the Czech Republic, even though there wasn‘t any kind of patronage within the selection process.

The second integral part of the compilation is the live presentation of four leading projects during the release tour. As we declared Muteme as ”live electronic” label, the live performances play a very important role in the whole concept and the contributors were selected with regards to this as well. Several Czech and Slovak cities are now awaiting to see contemplative rhythmical and sonic experiments of AOKI takamasa, abstract hip-hop electronics of Yoshihiro Hanno, multi-channel performance of Austrian Szely and emotional sound stories of the Czech talent Michal Marianek.

he last but not least part of the album concept lies in the material or tangible element of the compilation. Although Muteme is above all an Internet label, we do not want to disappoint listeners, who like to possess nice covers and keep these in their personal collection. The cover of muteme.point.0 compilation was created by famous Czech artist Tomas Vanek and every individual cover is an original piece of graphic art – numbered paperback with handmade sprayed graphic composed into nine-piece colour series. The cover is available through mailorder or at Muteme events. Because Muteme aims not to sell CDs – our music is free to download from the Internet – the CD disc with temporary cover is released as an inlay of the December issue of the magazine Umelec (International Artist). The disc can also be obtained free of charge as an inlay to the cover ordered through our website or bought at the concerts.
